چکیده
Abstract Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) is a diagnostic category indicating cognitive impairment which does not meet criteria for dementia such as Alzheimer’s disease. There are public health concerns about disease (AD) prompting intervention strategies to respond predictions the impacts of ageing populations and decline. This relationship between MCI AD rests on three interrelated principles, namely, that exists MCI, progresses AD, there reliable system classification MCI. However, also several ethical issues problems arising in AD/MCI relationship. These include early diagnosis interventions, effects people with newer neuroimaging neuropharmacological approaches used treatment. All these pose questions principles relation implications how understood, diagnosed, treated, experienced by patients. article analyses four challenging areas neuroethics: definition MCI; AD; clinical disclosure, diagnosis, treatment; research The significant connections often overlooked, together uncertainties overall. Patients, healthcare systems society best served informed clinicians, academics researchers. After 35 years, store knowledge expanding evolving.

Impairment in Proverb Interpretation as an Executive Function Deficit in Patients with Amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment and Early Alzheimers Disease
Background/Aims: Proverb interpretation is assumed to reflect executive functions. We hypothesized that proverb interpretation is impaired in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) diagnosed as single-domain impairment by common neuropsychological testing. Methods: We compared performance in a proverb interpretation test in single-domain aMCI patients and patients with early Al...

We compared indices of the revised version of the Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS-R) and scaled scores of the five subtests of the revised version of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAISR) in 30 elderly schizophrenia (ES) patients and 25 Alzheimer’s disease (AD) patients in the amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) stage (AD-aMCI). In the WMS-R, attention/concentration was rated lower and...
